<p>Dr. Avi Loeb is a professor of science at Harvard University. He Avi obtained his Ph.D. in physics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He led the first international project supported by the Strategic Defense Initiative and was a member for many years of the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton. He was the longest serving chair of Harvard's Department of Astronomy and founded Harvard's Black Hole Initiative.
