Peter A. Levine, Ph.D. is the originator and developer of Somatic Experiencing® and the Director of Somatic Experiencing® International.<br /><br />Dr. Levine holds doctorate degrees in Medical Biophysics and in Psychology, and during his thirty five-year study of stress and trauma, has contributed to a variety of scientific and popular publications.<br /><br />Among his many accomplishments, Dr. Levine has received Lifetime Achievement awards from Psychotherapy Networker, the US Association for Body-Oriented Psychotherapy, and the Association for Training on Trauma and Attachment in Children.
