<p>每日英語跟讀 Ep.K410: What is the BA.5 variant and why does it seem to be reinfecting so many people with COVID-19?</p> <p> </p> <p>BA.5, part of the Omicron family, is the latest coronavirus variant to cause widespread waves of infection globally.</p> <p>BA.5是最新的冠狀病毒變種，屬Omicron的一支，可在全球廣泛引起一波波感染。</p> <p>According to the World Health Organization’s (WHO) most recent report, it was behind 52 percent of cases sequenced in late June, up from 37 percent in one week.
