Well-written silliness in another favorite comedy from Australia about a down-on- her-luck recently divirced incompetent lawyer whose the daughter of a storied Supreme Court judge who married his longtime male chief-of-staff after her mother died. Set in Melbourne (don’t pronounce the”r”). Superb character acting. Lovely binge watching!

New to the platform, eager to become a power 'Cliq Rex' user! My first recommendation is the best business book I have ever read, "The Discipline of Market Leaders". The premise is that superiority in at least one of three areas is essential to success: (1) Product Superiority, (2) Operational Efficiency, (3) Customer Intimacy. I apply yhis thinking across all of our consulting cleints, and have found great traction in asserting this mentality to cleints to effect meaningful change. Book was written in 1995 by Michael Treacy and Fred Wiersema in 1995.

David Goggins! DAMN... this is a RAW interview that brings a ton of insight in how he does the hard stuff and keeps going and going and going. The reality, none of it is easy. There's no hack, just grinding through. @cindyoakenfull this is the episode I was thinking @DrGO should listen to.

Great podcast with insights on running great meetings. If we're forced to have meetings, we might as well fix them and have successful ones. Special guest Claire Hughes Johnson and her book, "Scaling People" Claire recently helped scale Stripe from 100 people to 50k.

The Irish TV show Bad Sisters is the best thing I’ve watched in a while. Just came off of loving the Aussie show Deadloch and didn’t expect to find something even better. Both shows are international, both involve a murder, both have great characters, and irreverent humor. Also both are heavily-driven by women. Big Rex love for both. Deadloch will be back for season 2.

Oldboy (2003) is one of my favorite films of all time. It’s a South Korean mind-blowing thriller. This dude is kidnapped & locked in a room for 15 years. When he is released, insanity erupts. If you like mind-blowing thrillers with lots of twists & turns and are ok with subtitles this movie is for you. Watch the original from 2003 first, and then Spike Lee’s version from 2013 with Josh Brolin. Please let me know what you think. ✌️

Stalker. That’s the name of the movie. It’s a sci-fi movie (I guess) by Andrei Tarkovsky. If you’ve seen THX 1138 and the original Blade Runner, but not Stalker, don’t talk to me 🤣. But seriously, this movie is ridiculously good. What’s it about? I have no idea. I mean, these dudes wander thru forbidden “zones” and 3 hours later, boom the end. It’s such a beautiful movie though. PLEASE watch it. I think it’s on MAX (formerly HBOMax).

Finished Ted Lasso last night. I love the Brutish tradition of three seasons and done. Three seasons was one too many for Ted Lasso. 60 minute episodes were too long. Ted seemed to know less about football in season three than in season one to the point of professional incompetence and malpractice. Nate's storyline went all over the place with improbable turns. As did all the seemingly dozens of other characters with their own swerving plot lines. Beard was just irritating and overplayed. I'm sad to say I won’t miss it...
